They're two of the most attractive people in their field, and are both currently single.
So it's no surprise Elizabeth Hurley and Russell Crowe wanted to take advantage of their time together on The Jonathan Ross Show, the gorgeous stars sharing a cheeky smooch during the interview.
On the upcoming episode of the ITV chat show, which airs on Saturday 21 March, the British actress and the Australian actor get close for a kiss, much to the audience's delight.
It all began when Elizabeth put on a very flirty display with Aussie hunk Russell, as they regaled host Jonathan with a tale about the first time they met, over 20 years ago.
Russell, 50, explained the time he first came face-to-face with 49-year-old Liz, going gooey-eyed over the memory of seeing her in just a large shirt and not much else.
'Jonathan, I met Elizabeth Hurley in Los Angeles in like 1992 or '93. I knew this actress called Deborah Unger, and she said "I've got this friend of mine, she is in LA, she's got this huge Alsatian dog and she needs somebody to just help her walk the dog"...
'I have no idea who I'm going to meet so I go round to this house, knock on the door and a 21-year-old Elizabeth Hurley opens the door in a men's business shirt and nothing else and I just thought "thank you Jesus!"
'It was just the most incredible moment and the dog was [messed] up though… His name was Nico I think… But over a period of time I would go back to walk the dog because now I knew what I was [in for]. I was one hell of an enthusiastic dog walker but luckily for me, everytime I knocked on that door Elizabeth opened the door in a men's business shirt, I loved those days.'
After telling his story emphatically, Elizabeth - who later joined the famous yellow sofa alongside Russell - she told her version of events.
'I don't remember the shirt but I do remember Russell, he was the sexy Australian that used to come round with our friend Deborah and he was very nice to me and Nico the dog,' she said, flirtatiously.
'It was early days we were both in our 20s, we were both probably unemployed or struggling or auditioning and I remember [turning to Russell] you once drove me - you had a little car at the time - and you drove me under the Hollywood sign and we both sat there and had a cigarette probably at the time and we just looked at that Hollywood sign and thought "you know, one day".
She added: 'He was very well behaved.'
During their appearance, Elizabeth looked stunning in a figure-hugging black dress that showed off her toned curves, while Russell cut a far more casual figure in jeans and a red checked shirt, his paunch showing through.
They both also confirmed during the interview that they are both currently single.
With a coy smile on her face, Liz admitted: 'I am single. On sabbatical. I'm busy at the moment, family, work, I'm working more now than I ever have been, no time for love.'
And Russell laughed as he added: 'I am Jonathan, I'm single, I'm separated from my wife and I'm going through an extremely slutty period of my life at the moment!'
With the two stars seemingly primed and ready for a set-up, joker Jonathan hinted that they should perhaps use this moment to get together, to which Russell replied that he was a bit 'too rough around the edges' for the beautiful actress.
It all became even more steamy later on in their interview when the pair, sat along with fellow guests Lily James and David Mitchell - who stars on comedy panel show Would I Lie To You? - took part in a fun quiz based on the popular quiz show.
Gladiator star Russell asked David to guess if he was telling the truth or a lie over events that happened back in 1993 between himself and Elizabeth.
'Back in 1993, Elizabeth Hurley said to me that I was the greatest kisser that she'd ever experienced that week,' he said, to which David replied that he thought Russell was telling the truth.
It, however, transpired to be a lie, as the actor replied: 'I have never kissed Elizabeth Hurley in my life.'
And when the audience sounded sad for him with a large, simultaneous groan, he quipped back: 'I'm not dead yet!'
This was the perfect opportunity for a now-or-never smooch between the pair, as feisty Russell climbed on top of Elizabeth and gave her a big kiss, who giggled her way through their surprise moment of intimacy.
During the interview, Elizabeth - who is currently promoting her brand new TV series The Royals, which airs on E! - also discussed her famous ex-boyfriend Shane Warne, the Australian cricketer.
Speaking of his infamous groomed image, which seemed to happen back when they were an item, she denied that she had any input into his aesthetic.
'That was nothing to do with me! Nothing to do with me, not guilty,' she giggled.
